ce n'est qu'un au revoir !

bonsoir !!

Today is not an à bientôt, but a real au revoir for many! We all had a blast and this summer experience was a month to remember for all! I'm sure the kids will all stay in touch and maybe gather later in the year, and if not, well, they will have these great memories for ever anyway!

So, sadly (but it has to end one day), this is my au revoir to "y'all" (as they say in that good ole South).

our last days...

Here is a somewhat nostalgic article about our last day in Nice yesterday, which is a way to prepare the goodbyes, and to the blog as well, since students are leaving St Laurent on Friday. So, before the real goodbyes, here is a small pêle-mêle of a few pictures from our last two days:

St. Tropez & last Monday of our trip

Yesterday we visited the beautiful Saint Tropez, city of all charms and of course, the delicious dessert: la Tropézienne. Here you can be with us for a second with the view on the beach, next to the port:

Also today, conversation students who wished had a special option: painting! The cinema, drawing and photography classes were still offered of course, all as exciting as usual!

Hello everyone,

Sorry for the few days without much news on the blog, but here we are again!!!
So after the Gorges du Verdon, we had a nice Wednesday ending with a show to thank our host family... including a wonderful performance on an 80's-styled choregraphy. Here are some shots of the preparations and show, even with a sample of one of the performances!!! As you will see as well, we had another show tonight with the Nice group this time, right have we had a great buffet of French specialties for dinner?

Kayaking and relaxing in the Gorges du Verdon

After our studious Monday, preparing a show for our host families and studying more French during our lessons/afternoon electives, today we went to visit the gorgeous Gorges du Verdon, a miracle of nature barely two short hours away from St Laurent du Var!

The views from the water path were incredible, and the area simply the best spot for a resourcing and inspiring afternoon between waters and the sandy beach.

Now we're also preparing the show for our host family tonight, and for the dinner with the Nice group on Friday! I'm sure they'll love our performances...

San Remo, Italia & Saint Paul de Vence (back to France)

While yesterday we went to visit the quiet and charming little city of San Remo, crossing the border to Italy. Laissons les photos parler !

Today we also visited Saint Paul de Vence, a little town on top of the hills, really close to Saint Laurent, and with art all over the place, from the architecture to the many galleries...and even Chagall's tombstone!
